What You'll Work On
In Class 3 of the TRU Core Method Fundamentals course, instructor Alicia Gilbert explores the deep interplay between the diaphragm and pelvic floor to help you build internal core power and spinal support.
TRU Core Classes · 54:18 · October 2025
This session focuses on the body's "inner chamber," teaching you how to synchronize your breathing with pelvic floor activation across different planes of gravity. Using a prop ball, you will practice pelvic mobility, deep diaphragmatic breathing, and horse pose squats to understand proper hip and core mechanics. The class transitions from seated and quadruped exercises to supine footwork, finishing with standing wall roll-downs for spinal proprioception. Ultimately, these techniques will help you unglue sticky spots in your spine, reset your nervous system, and leave your posture feeling perfectly stacked.
